Building Resilience: Becoming Our Best Selves and Cultivating the Best in Others

November 7, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Guest Speaker: Dr. S. Atyia Martin, CEO and Founder of All Aces, Inc

“Do not judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
– Nelson Mandela

Resilience may be the most important quality we can acquire. Adapting well in the face of adversity, tragedy, threat, and stress is an advantage that touches every aspect of life, from our careers, to our families and communities, to our physical and mental health.

As nonprofit leaders, our missions are ambitious and our goals are great. How do we build resilience in ourselves and others to power these pursuits? Join us as we explore the process of activating the power of consciousness, critical thinking, and community to “bounce back” better, and continuously improve ourselves and our organizations.

Anticipated takeaways:

How to create a positive organizational culture
Combat the ways our unconscious mind can interfere with personal and organizational resilience
Reframing the narrative of what we should be striving for
