Description: Young people are a crucial part of any movement for social change. Youth have a long-term interest in community well-being and are vital contributing members of their communities. Youth participation in your organization is essential. In this training, participants will learn how to recruit and retain young people in public health work, as well as how to keep them engaged over time. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on ways to increase youth participation and leadership in their organization and learn best practices on maximizing adult-youth partnerships.
Audience: Coalition leaders and members, community-based organizations, non-profit professionals, community members, youth workers, residents, and public health professionals.
