MMP understands the need for folks to come together to continue (or start) discussions on helping youth cope by staying in conversation. This is the second session of Helping Youth Cope. Everyone is welcome (whether you attended part 1 or not).
We know that young people benefit from being in relationships with caring adults in their lives. These relationships – sometimes in the form of formal mentoring – help youth manage stress, build resiliency, maintain positive mental health and ultimately set them up for success. We also know that young people care about a wide range of issues impacting their lives like climate catastrophe, racism, social media and gun violence in the US. It only follows that they feel a blend of optimism and uncertainty about their future. Adults who care about youth do as well.
With the weight of this upcoming Presidential election, the stakes have never been higher. That is why MMP is stoked to offer a webinar on “HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE COPE: BEING IN CONVERSATION”. We invite you to share space with us, ground yourself and hone up on how best to engage with the youth in your work, your community, your family, your life during this time of political variability.
