SCI Forum on Forum on Social Capital and Health

Social Capital Inc. will present this Forum on Social Capital and Health. The forum will feature keynote speaker Dr. Sandro Galea, Dean of Boston University School of Public Health.
Dr. Galea, a physician and epidemiologist, has focused research on the social production of health of urban populations. He is also interested in the consequences of mass trauma and conflict worldwide. Dr Galea will speak on how his research and experience relates to the link between social capital and health outcomes in our region, the United States, and the world.
Galea’s keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local health practitioners, public officials, philanthropists, and community health advocates. Finally, over lunch, attendees will break into small groups to discuss ways to encourage and sustain a culture of health through social capital and collaboration.
This event is the second forum SCI has organized, following 2013’s SCI Forum on Social Capital and the Economy.
