Walking is a great way to incorporate more physical activity into your daily routine. One way to make sure you are getting the recommended amount of steps is to turn meetings at work into walking meetings and to encourage colleagues to stay active with you. Join us for a webinar on November 17, 2016 at 2pm Eastern to explore the what, why and how of walking meetings and learn from examples of businesses and organization that have put them into practice.

Ted currently works as the Medical Director of the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health, and as a Director in The Permanente Federation, LLC. The Center for Total Health is Kaiser Permanente’s social innovation center, located in the heart of Washington, DC. His clinical interests are preventive care and eliminating disparities in health status among vulnerable populations, including people who are LGBTQ. He is a regular user of social media tools to promote open leadership

Jessica Tunon, a professional speaker on walkability, is the founder of Netwalking® LLC. Having presented at South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, The Swedish Institute and The Walking Summit, Tunon raises awareness about the importance of workplace mobility and green solutions. Prior to Netwalking, Jessica co-founded Beyond2ndNature in Austin, TX by organizing an America Walks Walkability Workshop and co-organizing Austin’s first World Car Free Day. Jessica has over 20 years of experience in consulting a wide variety of corporate and non-profit settings in finance and operations including Franklin Templeton Investments and MITRE. She holds a certificate in Walkable Urban Real Estate Development & Place Management from George Washington University and B.A. in Business Management from Lynn University. In addition, she is a SheSource Expert – Philanthropy and her advocacy work includes at large member with DC Pedestrian Advisory Council and Healthy for Good Committee Member with the American Heart Association of Greater Washington.
