Careers in Community Development

Confused about how to move forward with your community development career?
In this workshop for entry-level community development professionals, volunteers and students, we will help participants reflect on:
1. What they have learned in their job, internship or volunteer experience
2. Their short and longer term career goals
3. How they can move towards achieving their goals.
We will identify the kinds of jobs available and what skills people might need to build to meet their career goals. A panel of community development practitioners will share stories of their career paths and what they look for in new hires. Participants will have an opportunity to meet with experienced community development leaders in small groups and will receive tips on how to present their skills and ideas for further networking.
