Description: Coalitions play a key role in addressing challenges to public health like the opioid epidemic because of the unique perspective they bring from their communities. Across the state, we are seeing the rates of fatal overdoses decreasing because of increased education and access to naloxone, which was a result of intentional collaborations across sectors. For this round table, participants will hear about innovative practices and engage in facilitated networking conversations with other coalitions to foster collaborative partnerships while sharing best practices for addressing challenges in this work.
Audience: Coalition leaders, managers, and staff of community programs.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:
1. Participate in facilitated conversations regarding successes and challenges in addressing the opioid epidemic in Western, MA.
2. Network with other coalitions doing similar work to share best practices.
3. Identify collaborative opportunities with other coalitions in attendance.
