Approaches to Supervision

This workshop focuses on supervision and program management for adult staff. Instructor Laurie Jo Wallace will address: the roles and responsibilities of supervisors, communication, work relationships, program management, and the specific supervision of staff.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will:

• be able to identify various roles and responsibilities of supervisors
• explore their strengths and weaknesses as a supervisor within the 5 Star Management Model
• share their personal and organizational best practice supervision/management strategies
• be able to identify specific leadership styles
• be able to effectively implement team-builders for their staff
• be able to build effective supervisor relationships
