Creating a Work Atmosphere that Attracts and Sustains Happy Employees and Increased Productivity: A Workshop for Managers

Managers have a special role in the workplace – they are responsible for the overall productivity, motivation, morale and well-being of their staff. It is essential that supervisors can identify the differences between stress and burnout in their employees, so they can maintain a positive culture and reduce or prevent the job turnover and other negative effects of a dissatisfied and depleted

Workshop participants will be able to:

Understand and Identify the top 5 daily challenges for bosses
Identify and prevent staff burnout
Learn the key concepts needed to attract, focus and keep the most talented employees
Develop a deeper understanding of each participants management style and the impact that has on their workplace
This workshop will benefit social workers, mental health professionals, clinicians, educators, counselors and paraprofessionals working with at-risk adolescents and youth. The format includes lecture, discussion, case studies, film and/or testimonials.
Julie McGrath, M.S.W., LICSW: With her Master’s degree and LICSW in social work, Julie McGrath has served a decade in social work in direct line staff and upper management positions in various settings currently the Director of the Crisis Team in the Emergency Department at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem, MA. In addition, she has conducted trainings in large group settings on issues related to quality management and workplace issues.

In 2009, Ms. McGrath launched The Joy Source to inspire women to live their best life possible and accomplishes this through her individual Joy Coaching, her annual ‘Woman’s Weekend of Rest and Renewal.’ and she is author of Joy Worthy: A Mother’s Guide to More Joy, Less Stress and No Guilt. Her JM Seminars are designed to instruct, empower and encourage mental health workers to reduce stress and overwhelm and implement a unique regimen of self-care and resiliency.
