Engaging Youth in Alcohol Prevention: The Power of Personal Stories (Day 2)

This 2 day training, co-facilitated by Blake Works and Health Resources in Action (HRiA), will build upon your knowledge and skills to more effectively communicate about underage drinking with young people (Grade 5 – 12). Participants will learn how to implement and utilize Alcohol: True Stories Hosted by Matt Damon with groups of young people and groups of parents/other caring adults. In addition, we will provide strategies for engaging youth in substance abuse prevention activities, coalitions and policy change.

Teachers, counselors, principals, school health and supportive staff, youth workers, after-school personnel and program supervisors and managers.
