Engaging Youth in Preventing Opioid Addiction

Trainers: Jeanne Blake of Words Can Work and Laurie Jo Wallace of HRiA

This two-day training, presented by Blake Works and Health Resources in Action (HRiA), will increase your knowledge and build your skills to help you more effectively communicate with youth about opioids. You’ll learn proven strategies for engaging youth in substance abuse prevention activites, coaltions and policy change. You’ll also learn best practices for using our DVD¬†Drugs: True Stories¬†with groups of young people (Grades 5-12).

$999 for two-day training* Participants will receive a copy of Drugs: True Stories. Continental breakfast will be provided both days. Day 2 will conclude at 3:00PM.

Who Should Attend: Substance abuse prevention professionals, coalition leaders and members, public health professionals, program supervisors and managers, school health and support staff, youth workers, after-school personnel, teachers, counselors and principals
