Indoor air quality & toxins in the workplace (Webinar)

Presented by Massachusetts Working on Wellness as part of the Expert Series.

The Expert Series will introduce participants to the many aspects of worksite wellness and safety. Each hour-long webinar, hosted by experts from the worksite wellness, occupational safety and/or public health fields, will delve into strategies that your workplace can utilize to enhance wellness at work. 

Whether you are new to worksite wellness or a worksite wellness guru, the Expert Series will offer information to participants that will help maximize the impact of your wellness initiatives. 

Presenters:

Dr. Polly Hoppin directs the Environmental Health Program of the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production. With a focus on advancing the use of scientific tools for prevention-oriented policy, she helps the health sector address links between environment and health, with particular expertise in asthma.

Molly Jacobs is a Project Manager within the Lowell Center’s Environmental Health Program focusing on environmental and occupational epidemiology. She has worked on multiple analytic and descriptive epidemiologic studies investigating various health outcomes including cancer, lupus and scleroderma in association with exposure to local environmental contamination. More recently she worked on a number of research-translation projects relating to environmental and occupational causes of asthma and cancer.

Elise Pechter serves as the Health Care Services Board’s Public representative. For the last 16 years Elise has been part of the Occupational Health Surveillance program within the health statistics bureau at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. She is responsible for sentinel surveillance of work-related injuries and assuring the link between surveillance and prevention, with a focus on work-related injuries
