Who Should Attend: Mass in Motion Coordinators

Description:

Sustainability is a key component of any successful project. It is the continued, consistent implementation of effective prevention policies, strategies, and practices. Ideally sustainability is a part of any planning process or program from the very beginning, adaptable to changes in funding, leadership and community structure. But how is sustainability achieved? During this training participants will be introduced to the many facets of sustainability including sustaining strategies, outcomes, partnerships, and coalition infrastructure. Participants will join in an interactive case study of a coalition going through a sustainability process to learn the ABC’s of Sustainability Planning.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the many elements of sustainability
  2. Explain why to plan for sustainability
  3. Identify the steps of sustainability planning
  4. Utilize a sustainability planning process with their coalition/stakeholders
  5. Utilize a sustainability template to create a sustainability plan
