The varied clinical presentation, the range of social and emotional development, and the way children on the “spectrum” think can be a challenge for clinicians. Understanding the array of spectrum profiles, the global impact of the disability and the common developmental strengths and weaknesses is the core to developing treatment plans that ultimately lead to the child’s success.
