March 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Friday, March 29th, 2024

1pm

Duration:

1.5 hours

Location:

Online

Description:

Addressing internalized oppression is essential for generating systemic change, as it drives marginalized communities to believe and uphold the negative messages and stereotypes used to oppress them. This training aims to identify and address the manifestation of internalized oppression, particularly through imposter syndrome, which results in self-doubt, shame, and other negative emotions that hinder personal and professional growth. Viewing this issue through a collective accountability lens, participants will embrace healing and transformation by voicing the changes they wish to experience within their organization.

Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • Examined the link between internalized oppression and imposter syndrome.
  • Shared their beliefs, values, or perceptions about their worth, leadership, and productivity.
  • Selected the systemic changes they desire in their organizational practices.
  • Brainstormed strategies to advocate for the organizational changes they desire.
