The training will focus on implementing and sustaining a smoke-free policy.¬† Attendees will learn about engaging residents in the implementation process, building awareness among residents and staff to sustain long-term compliance, resources for residents to help them comply with the rule or quit smoking, strategies for dealing with non-compliance issues without initiating lease actions, and recommendations when lease actions become necessary.¬†
This training is geared towards: Executive Directors, Other senior level management, Resident Services staff, Property Management staff and anyone else interested in understanding best practices for how to implement smoke-free housing policies.
NOTE: This training will be geared towards the needs of the attendees. We will send a short pre-training survey to understand participants’ challenges and questions. So please feel free to sign up no matter what phase of implementation you are with a smoke-free housing policy.
